Using solar resource data from the latest NREL National Solar Radiation Database, NREL's PVWatts Calculator estimates the energy production and cost of energy of grid-connected photovoltaic energy systems on a worldwide scale. This gives property owners and manufacturers the ability to develop estimates of the performance of potential PV installations, and allows them to make strategic and efficient decisions.
