A Guide to Green Bonds

A guide to connecting private capital to projects that deliver climate benefits. The guide covers five building blocks for enabling a green bond market: 1) the enabling environment (including policies, regulation, taxes, and market infrastructure and institutions), 2) investors, 3) issuers and project pipeline, 4) governance, 5) definitions and standards. The guide utilizes the learning experience of CDKN's project to assess the potential for a successful green bond market in Colombia, as well as broader climate finance work in developing and emerging markets.
