FASST - FAst Scenario Screening Tool
FAst Scenario Screening Tool (FASST) is a JRC developed air quality integrated assessment model to support the design of air pollution abatement policies by means of scenario analysis (van Dingenen et al., 2018). FASST is a scenario screening tool based on source-receptor relationships using as an input annual pollutant emission aggregated at national or regional level to compute atmospheric pollutant concentrations and a broad range of pollutant-related metrics of impacts on:
a) health (mortality, morbidity),
b) agricultural crop yields, and
c) radiative forcing of short-lived climate pollutants.
The tool has recently developed a module to estimate costs associated with the health outcomes (benefits). FASST has been extensively used for many policy-oriented scientific applications.
