Addressing Water in National Adaptation Plans

This Water Supplement to the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines accompanies the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines prepared by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) of the UNFCCC. The document supports developing countries in: (1) incorporating water-related adaptation needs and opportunities in the formulation and implementation of NAPs, NDCs, National Communications, and SDGs; (2) enhancing the integration of water-related adaptation in development policies, programmes and plans; (3) strengthening the resilience of economies, livelihoods, and natural ecosystems by reducing water-related climate vulnerabilities and building adaptive and transformative capacities.
